Why is OCTANE not online yet?

At the moment, we are working extensively on completing many different components, in order to render OCTANE a solid and multifunctional simulation platform until the open-source-release.

A key point to this is the intensive evaluation of the different simulation models. For this, both VERTEX-vehicles are available to the OCTANE developers of Fraunhofer IOSB. The test vehicles are equipped with a multitude of sensors, controllable actuators and CAN-access to the board electronics and have already been used for evaluation test drives, as can be read in the “News” section.

Together with different partners, additional tests of OCTANE have been successfully established within the framework of the Profilregion Mobilitätssysteme Karlsruhe(“Profilregion: High Performance Center for Mobility Research”), which is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts and the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing in Baden-Württemberg and as a national High Performance Center by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
